Patterson ['pætəsn], englischer Dramatiker, * Newcastle upon Tyne 24. 2. 1932; verfasste für das avantgardistische Victoria Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent Stücke über Natur, Mechanisierung und Urbanisierung (»A night to make the angels weep«, Uraufführung 1964, gedruckt 1967, deutsch »Eine Nacht, daß die Engel weinen«; »The mighty reservoy«, Uraufführung 1964, gedruckt 1970; »Mooney and his caravans«, Fernsehspiel 1966, Bühnenfassung 1967, gedruckt 1970, deutsch »Mooneys Wohnwagen«) sowie zeitkritische Stücke über die Probleme Jugendlicher für das National Youth Theatre (u. a. »Zigger-Zagger«, Uraufführung 1967, gedruckt 1970, deutsch »Zicke-Zacke«).
